Assistant Consultant/Consultant – Perth, Scotland

We are looking to strengthen our team in the Perth office through an addition of an experienced Assistant Consultant or Consultant.

The role will involve providing support to senior technical staff in meeting our clients’ requirements for developing, updating and applying microsimulation traffic models, including:

  • Scoping, organising and supervising traffic surveys
  • Data processing and manipulation
  • Microsimulation modelling including network coding, matrix manipulation, model calibration and validation and reporting
  • Preparation of figures and diagrams, MapInfo/GIS

The role will also include opportunities to become involved in wider transport planning, modelling and appraisal projects across Scotland.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree level qualification in transportation/ engineering/ mathematics/ geography/ economics/ town planning or similar
  • Experience in microsimulation modelling S-Paramics / Paramics Discovery
  • Report writing skills, including the ability to present technical work and messages to non-technical audiences
  • Competency in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in an accurate, clear and professional format
  • Ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to demonstrate an understanding of, and a genuine interest in the work we do, and a strong ethos for close team working and collaboration
