The Challenge

The proposal, which is a flagship development for Northwich and Cheshire West and Chester, will regenerate 45 hectares of former industrial land to include approximately 1,200 new residential developments, a school and district centre. 


We were originally commissioned as the transport consultant to provide the required information to support a planning application through the planning process. In addition to the Transport Assessment, we also provided Proof of Evidence documents during the Public Inquiry Stage and developed a Paramics microsimulation traffic model for the Winnington Lane Corridor. Subsequently we have been engaged by a consortium of house builders (David Wilson, Morris Homes and Taylor Wimpey) to undertake the detailed design of the supporting highway infrastructure including both major Section 278 works and the internal road network.
